From installing to watching

EnigmaCast connects your Android TV to your Enigma2 receiver via OpenWebif. On first launch, the wizard guides you step by step.

Install the APK
Install EnigmaCast with the Downloader app (code 1451275) or download enigmacast.apk directly.
Create an account
Choose your language and create an account with email and password in the wizard, or log in. You get a 14-day Premium trial.
Find your receiver
EnigmaCast finds your box on the network, or you enter the IP address yourself. Any Enigma2 box with OpenWebif works, for example with openATV or OpenPLi.
Choose profile & bouquets
Create your profile with an avatar, and choose your viewing mode, your bouquets and your favourite football league.
Start watching
Channels and the guide sync in the background. Live TV, Home, movies and series are ready to go.

What you need

An Android TV or Google TV running Android 9 or newer.
An Enigma2 receiver (for example Octagon, Vu+, Zgemma, Dreambox, Gigablue, Edision) with openATV, OpenPLi or another Enigma2 image.
OpenWebif enabled on the receiver, plus the stream server (usually port 8001).
TV and receiver on the same network, or a WireGuard tunnel for watching remotely.
An internet connection for your account, TMDB artwork and football data.

With multiple receivers (Premium) you switch with the Switch receiver button on Home or the red button, also in the player.

In Settings you set what each key does per viewing mode, including the colour buttons.

You can restart the wizard anytime from Settings.

Check the IP address, whether OpenWebif is on and whether the TV is on the same network. A VPN on the TV can hide the receiver.

Enter the OpenWebif username and password.

Port 8001 must be open and the receiver must not be in deep standby. Otherwise, try a transcoded stream.

If recordings are running on all tuners, EnigmaCast asks whether you want to go to the recorded channel or cancel a recording.
